I would like to see an indoor pool for all ages. The public pools at the high schools aren't available all year long, plus it would be too cold in the winter months anyway. Another amenity that would be beneficial is a disc/frisbee golf course. Adjacent to Rio Vista Park, there is the New River where a disc golf course would be perfect. The holes could be incorporated right into the natural desert landscape.
I believe it would be a good idea to have an enclosed pool for the seniors to use during the winter months. this way they could continue with their exercises.
I would be great to see a mountain bike trail system with some long distance mileage rides available. Something like the City of Phoenix parks including Deem Hills, Sonoran Preserve - Union Hills and Apache Wash. The current trails at Westwing and Sunrise mountain are too short and narrow in many areas to enjoy on a bike. Bike parks with skills building sections including jumps like those found in Colorado (Valmont Bike Park in Boulder) for example would be an great addition to the City of Peoria.
We need a facility with the amenities offered at Rio Vista Park in the northern part of the city!
